Child Safety Reporting

To report Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any content/conduct involving the sexual exploitation of minors, contact our dedicated child safety team immediately.

childsafety@mygroucho.club

Child safety reports are reviewed immediately and prioritized above all other reports. We report all confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

You can also report directly to NCMEC at CyberTipline.org or call 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

Frequently Asked Questions

When you join Groucho, you have a voice interview with our personable Groucho agent. We learn about your interests, personality, social preferences, and basic demographics. We use this information to match you with 4-8 other people selected for social synergy and group dynamics. The matching process takes time because we want to get it right - you may wait days or weeks depending on other applicants in your area.

Groucho membership costs $21.99 per month. You don't pay anything until you're actually matched with a club, and have had the chance to communicate within the app. The subscription covers ongoing club membership, event coordination, the shuffle, and other services. Note that the subscription fee does not cover the cost of food, drinks, or other expenses at events — you'll be responsible for your own tab at dinners and gatherings.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app. Go to the Account tab and select "Manage Subscription." When you cancel, you'll retain access to your Groucho Club until the end of your current billing period. If you change your mind before the period ends, you can reactivate your subscription. No refunds are provided for partial months.

To delete your account, go to the Account tab in the app and select "Delete Account." You can also request deletion by emailing support@mygroucho.club. When your account is deleted, your profile information will be permanently removed. Some information may be retained as required by law, and your messages may be kept in anonymized form for other club members' conversation history.

We take your privacy seriously. Your voice interview is processed in real time to create a personality profile for matching — we do not record or store your voice, only the text summary generated from the conversation. Your profile information, messages, and payment details are stored securely. We never share your personal information with other members beyond your first name, profile picture if you choose, and a bio if you provide one from your Profile screen. For complete details, please read our Privacy Policy.

Groucho Clubs meet twice monthly for dinner parties or social gatherings. There may be additional, larger events with outher Groucho Clubs in your area.

We will shuffle you into a new club once you've had a chance to deeply appreciate and be appreciated by your current club, typically after 3-6 club events. If you want out sooner, please contact us at support@mygroucho.club. Likewise, if you want to stay in longer, just reach out.

During signup, we collect your location to match you with nearby members. If there aren't enough members in your area yet, you'll be added to our waitlist and notified when a club becomes available. The more people who sign up in your area, the faster we can form clubs there.

We expect all members to treat each other with respect. If you experience harassment, inappropriate behavior, or have concerns about another member, please contact us immediately at support@mygroucho.club. You can also report or block members from the app. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Depending on the situation, we may remove members who violate our community guidelines.

Groucho has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors. Groucho provides virtually no opportunity for this, but if you encounter such content, report it immediately by emailing childsafety@mygroucho.club or using the in-app reporting feature. You can also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at CyberTipline.org. We review child safety reports immediately and report all confirmed CSAM to NCMEC as required by law.
